You cannot judge a puppy without meeting the dogs behind it. Every sire and dam is health screened before breeding, and the certificates are yours on request.

Pearl
Our foundation girl. OFA clear, DNA panel clear, and the most patient mother we have ever had. She retires after one more litter and stays with us for life.
Duke
Old-fashioned English type with an unusually clean airway and correct hips. Gentle to a fault — he babysits every litter in the house, including the ones that are not his.

Before We Breed
What every parent is screened for
- Full DNA panelBreed-specific hereditary markers, run before the pairing is confirmed.
- Hip and spine evaluationRadiographs read by a specialist, not a guess from the whelping box.
- Airway assessmentThe single most important screen in a flat-faced breed, and the one most often skipped.
- Cardiac checkAuscultation by a veterinarian, with referral if anything sounds off.
Ask for the paperwork
We will send the DNA panel and health certificates for both parents of any puppy you are considering, before you pay anything. If a breeder hesitates when you ask this question, walk away from them.
