I got my first English Bulldog, Winston, in 2011 — and spent the next five years learning everything the hard way. The vet bills. The breathing issues. The breeder who stopped answering the phone the moment the money cleared.
I promised myself that if I ever bred a litter, it would be the opposite of that.
Nine years later that is still the whole business plan. We keep a small number of dogs. We health-test before we breed, not after a problem shows up. Puppies are raised in our living room rather than a kennel — which is messier for us and better for them.
I turn down more families than I accept and I do not apologise for it. When you get a puppy from me you also get my mobile number for the life of the dog. That is not a marketing line. Ask any of the families before you.

I will tell you no
If a puppy is wrong for your home — too much drive, too much dog, wrong stage of life — I will say so before taking your money. I have talked more than one family out of a deposit.
You get me, not an inbox
Every message, application and 2am question comes to my phone. There is no team, no broker and no assistant writing as me.
The dog can always come back
Divorce, illness, a move overseas. Whatever it is, at any point in the dog's life, it comes home to me rather than a shelter.
